ABSTRACT
After the analysis of computer-based anonymous communications systems, it has been concluded that these solutions present several impediments that limit their application to the location privacy issues in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) despite the apparent similarity of both problems. Nonetheless, some of the mechanisms and techniques used by computer-based systems have been successfully applied to sensor networks with some adaptations in order to fit the particular requirements of the new domain.
