ABSTRACT
Network Simulator version 2 (NS2) is an open source tool that was designed to help in network design and research. It provides substantial support for simulation of almost all existing protocols over wired and wireless (both local and satellite) networks in different configurations. The elegance of this tool lies in the support for a framework to study design and evaluate any new protocol. By framework we mean the following.
