ABSTRACT
The most effective way to reduce legal liabilities and malpractice insurance costs is to reduce the number of medical errors. Several components of the solution discussed so far should drive the incidence of malpractice lower by creating healthier patients, driving better decision making, and improving the quality of care. There are other ways to improve care that are discussed later in this chapter.
