ABSTRACT

I guess we always need a break, something to stop our minds racing for a little while. Years ago when I was a kid studying for an exam, I read something that suggested our mind was at its best for learning when it studied for twenty minutes or so and then stopped for five to ten minutes before getting back to studying, then keep repeating the study–rest process. It seems that the mind digests and consolidates the information learned from the study periods during the subsequent rest periods! This technique worked for me, but it might not be for everyone. Nowadays I find it a little hard to get going again after a break, such is life!
