ABSTRACT
While the smoothing scale is outside the horizon, there is no time for anything to move appreciably. As seen in Table 11.1, the smoothing scale for cosmological scales is outside the horizon at the epoch just after electron-positron annihilation. We can therefore begin our discussion at that epoch, when the cosmic fluid has just four components. These are the photons, neutrinos, CDM and baryons.
