ABSTRACT

Once the design concepts of components belonging to an assembly mature, design engineers begin to develop the associated 2D engineering drawings. These drawings are tools that are used to communicate what the component is and the aspects of the part that are important to its proper functioning within the assembly, subsystem, and possibly within the system. It is, therefore, essential that the cascaded requirements which have been translated into the design specications are properly communicated in engineering drawings, primarily for the sake of manufacturing the parts (or assembly).
