Signalment and History A 9-month-old, castrated, male domestic, shorthair cat weighing 4 kg was presented with trauma of unknown origin to the right rear limb the day prior to presentation. The patient was slightly cachectic with a body score 4/10. There was a palpable fracture of the femur. Otherwise, no abnormalities were found on physical examination. The patient was an indoor cat and showed a calm demeanor.
