ABSTRACT

The suitable integration of numerous organic-inorganic nanocomposites with outstanding biomedical performance has attracted signicant attention in the research community. In particular, these nanocomposites show great potential in biomedicine and biological research because of their multifunctional properties, improved biocompatibility, long-term stability under physiological conditions, fewer immunogenic responses, prolonged blood circulation times, and targeting ability. Thus, the suitability of polymer nanotechnology and/or bio-nanocomposites to these evolving biomedical and biotechnological applications is a fast-growing area, which will be highlighted in this chapter.
