ABSTRACT
In the aeroelasticity literature, a linear system may mean either a system whose static and dynamic responses are linear or one that is nonlinear in its static response, but linear in its dynamic response. Therefore, the term “linear system” must be qualified by specifying whether the system is dynamically linear or both statically and dynamically (wholly) linear.
