ABSTRACT

All organizations use some kind of system for managing their activities. From an organizational operations perspective, efficiency is gained by having an aligned system of management. The system of management is a useful means for helping management tend to the management of organizational risk. The complexity of the activities common to a given organization and the uncertainty of its external operating environment create the need for a versatile system of management to enable the organization to meet its strategic objectives. Using a process approach is a management strategy that helps give effect to the standard. Leaders should align operational activities through the achievement of coherence across the various systems of management. Sustained success was described as the ability of the organization to achieve and maintain its objectives over the long term. When people are talking about embedding sustainability into an organization, it should mean more than just engaging the employees.
