ABSTRACT
Privacy preservation is discussed in this book for one important reason: Regulations. We turn our attention now to compliance regulations that govern the use of personal data. Most privacy preservation endeavors are aimed at complying with regulations at a country, region, or global level. Organizations also have their own privacy policies. In this chapter, we understand some of the most important privacy laws that businesses encounter while working with their data.
