ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we distinguish between point sources and nonpoint sources and identify 13 forms of pollution. The impact of pollution on the environment is mainly due to three factors: increasing population, increasing human consumption and production, and use of technology, which increases or decreases the impact depending on the type of applied technology.
