ABSTRACT

A Hadoop distribution is made of a number of separate frameworks that are designed to work together. The frameworks are extensible as well as the Hadoop framework platform. Hadoop has evolved to support fast data as well as big data. Big data was initially about large batch processing of data. Now organizations also need to make business decisions real time or near real time as the data arrives. Fast data involves the capability to act on the data as it arrives. Hadoop’s exible framework architecture supports the processing of data with different run-time characteristics.
