It may also be the result of an abnormal condition that not necessarily indicates a component failure. An example of such a case is when the grid exhibits unbalanced load conditions. These abnormal conditions may or may not result in a component failure or degradation, depending on its severity, measured in intensity, duration, and recurrence.
