ABSTRACT

In many different ways, science is linked to innovations and further to business rms as well. The advances in science were the reason for the pharmaceutical industry in the postwar period and the chemical industry in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries to grow. This connection between business and science has always been there. Numerous companies like Xerox, DuPont, and Kodak had corporate laboratories that pursued science on a serious level largely in the twentieth century. There have been crucial changes in the nature of connection that exists between both science and business.
