ABSTRACT
This chapter describes energy efficiency measures specific to electrical equipment and loads common for residential and commercial buildings, including appliances, lighting, and motors. Moreover, proven measures and strategies to improve the energy efficiency of various components of building electrical distribution systems are outlined with specific examples. Throughout this chapter, simplified calculation methods are presented to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of the proposed energy efficiency measures.
