ABSTRACT

To enjoy the good aspects of certificateless public-key cryptography (CL-PKC), numerous cryptographic primitives other than public-key encryption, signature, and key agreement have been introduced in the certificateless environment. Some of these primitives can be regarded as more general notions of CL-PKC. The purpose of this chapter is to provide a brief discussion of these issues. In this chapter, we briefly mention the connection of CL-PKC-based techniques to the construction of a few other primitives. We primarily discuss extensions of CL-PKC including certifcateless signcryption, certifcateless threshold signature, certifcateless ring signature, and certifcateless aggregate signature. We mostly describe these primitives along with their own formal definitions and security models to explain the connection to the techniques employed for CL-PKC.
