ABSTRACT
Animpressively diverse collection of applications has arisen fromresearch into singular optics. Some of these come directly from the unique phase and angular momentum properties of vortex beams, while others take advantage of the generic properties of vortices. In this chapter, we review some of the most signicant applications to date; it should be noted that additional possibilities are considered in later chapters.
