ABSTRACT

Wetlands, floodplains, coastal margins, dredging, and erosions are part of sensitive ecological/geological environmental problems. These areas are exceptionally responsive to environmental change and especially prone to irreversible ecological upset. In this chapter topics cover wetland, coastal margins, and erosion; in addition, some problems such as saltwater intrusion and greenhouse effects are all included. All explanations are made from the environmental geotechnical viewpoint.
