ABSTRACT

Distinguishing yourself as an engineering leader and learning your engineering leadership style Studies show that only 22 percent of Americans trust business leaders. Think about that for a moment-we trust less than one-quarter of our business leaders [1]. This is a real issue in terms of credibility and it directly affects consumers’ willingness to invest in and buy a company’s products or services. The trust level in politics is similarly low and is continuing to diminish. According to a study by the Pew Research Institute, public trust of Americans in politicians in Washington has declined from 73 percent in 1958 to 24 percent in 2014 [2].
