ABSTRACT
The foundation of vision A popular proverb states that “Without a vision the people perish” [1], and this also can be applied to an organization, a project, or a team. A vision is a powerful tool for motivating, inspiring, and moving toward a lofty yet attainable reality, something more than a dream-a goal to work toward. Vision is the key driver of leaders, as it takes their steadfast belief and dedication to see it come to fruition. A vision, no matter what it is, propels a leader forward and into action, and thereby compels him/her to inspire, empower, and encourage others. No matter how powerful the vision is, it must have at its “root” passion. Passion becomes the fuel for career success, personal achievement, and fulfilling one’s purpose. Passion extends beyond career success perspectives, and when linked to our core values and ideals, it serves as a continuous source of energy that offers continuous motivation, resilience, and hope.
