ABSTRACT
The Advisory Committee for Safety on Nuclear Installations (HSC 1993) state that “The safety culture of an organisation is the product of individual and group values, attitudes, perceptions, competencies and patterns of behaviour that determine the commitment to, and the style and proficiency of an organisation’s health and safety management”. This basically eludes to Safety Culture being a proactive stance to safety and how people do things when no one is watching them.
