ABSTRACT

Cooperative Co-evolution (CC) has been proposed by Potter and De Jong as an explicit means of decomposition problem in the arena of evolutionary algorithms, also described by Hsin-Chuan Kuo, Ching-Hai Lin, and Jeun-Len Wu. The algorithm of CC is more or less equivalent to the ordering of genes as was in early days of Genetic Algorithm research. D. E. Goldberg. Y. Ping Chen, T. li Yu, K. Sastry, stated that ordering of genes on a chromosome is a very important contributing factor as per the performance of EAs is concerned. In an experiment conducted by Goldberg et al., it was shown “ordering of genes” is an important factor of the success of a simple genetic algorithm.
