ABSTRACT
MRSA is a relatively common nosocomial pathogen which is resistant to many commonly used antibiotics. The main route of MRSA transmission between hospital patients is on the hands of health workers. Infected patients are the main reservoir of MRSA but health workers themselves, medical equipment and environmental surfaces can also act as reservoirs.
