ABSTRACT
Introduction Should we act on the findings of this evaluation report? This is a question frequently faced by health personnel, politicians and their advisors. The ability to assess an evaluation quickly is a skill which we all need. The problem is that there are so many different types of evaluation and it seems that we need to be experts to make a proper assessment. However, for most purposes it is possible quickly to assess most types of evaluation by answering the simple questions given in the assessment guide in the first part of this chapter.
