ABSTRACT
A detailed consideration of specialist investigations is beyond the scope of this book. However, there are some vitally important points that need to be covered. All patients who are admitted to hospital should have a baseline ECG recording, irrespective of their complaint on admission. It is a cheap, simple and non-invasive investigation that can provide a great deal of information.
