ABSTRACT
Martin was attending his fortnightly supervision session with Anne, whom he had worked with for a couple of years. She also had experience of working in primary healthcare as a counsellor and he had found her experience very helpful. He sensed that it was important to be supervised by someone who had a sense of the culture of working within a GP surgery. He always introduced new clients to her and he had decided to start this supervision session by talking about Mandy. He was aware that a great deal had happened in those first two sessions and he felt he needed time to reflect on it and to discover whether he was missing anything that Anne might pick up on.
