ABSTRACT
While the IMF currently acts as the agent for creditors, Pettifor argues that we could establish an independent Debt Review Body, which could have as its man date the need to defend both the sovereignty of the debtor nation and to strengthen democracy and accountability, while also being fair to creditors.
