Links between global health and Western wealth In this chapter the author will consider one particularly well-known example of how first world financial interests impact adversely on third world health. This is the issue of creating a market for bottle-feed baby-milk formula in third world nations and the ethical issues it raises. A brief introduction to the subject is followed by a detailed analysis of its implications for the health and economy of the third world.
