ABSTRACT

The impacts of global financing of first world corporate power should not be regarded by the reader as being confined to directly measurable and attributable factors. Even using data provided by the World Bank, it is estimated that premature deaths caused by tobacco-related illnesses will further exacerbate deaths caused by AIDS and TB. Even complications in childbirth will see an increase. Money spent on tobacco products will be withdrawn from essential food purchases and access to clean water by the poor in those societies.
