ABSTRACT
Beyond China Chapter 9 concentrated on China because it constitutes roughly a quarter of the world's population. The impact of first world involvement in its economy - and hence on the health of its people - is expanding enormously. China desperately needs US dollars because of its own perceived need to industrialise fast - or face total exploitation at the hands of first world multinational corporations and banks.
