ABSTRACT

It therefore seems obvious that, as a first step, we must support American groups who are denied access to media outlets for their views. They need a much more open forum so that, instead of reacting on a reflex of fear and xenophobia to international issues, they have a better opportunity to discuss and debate their interests in such issues as healthcare and job security, both in the US media and globally. We need to be much more proactive in making our media open to them. We have much to learn from the US 'Silent Majority', and this author is constantly

horrified at the way in which Americans are lampooned in the UK and EU as 'mindless rednecks' on the basis of the way that only 51% of 40% of them (20.4%) voted!
