ABSTRACT

Many relationship problems between boss and subordinates occur because bosses fail to make clear how they plan to use their authority and power. In looking to create a team with the staff, the partners must understand what motivates individuals to do their work. Motivating factors are the primary cause of satisfaction. Therefore it is very important to recognize that the provision of hygiene factors, upon which many employers concentrate, is insufficient to produce job satisfaction. It is important when ensuring appropriate delegation and understanding people's motivation that this is not dumping, or pandering to individuals' needs to a point where the organizational needs are forgotten. Creating an effective team means balancing the personal growth of subordinates with organizational efficiency, and, at the end of the day, patients' needs. Ensuring effective delegation and reducing the amount of error is of itself a major reason for investing appropriately in development and training.
