Department of her local district general hospital. • She had a 10-year history of resistant temporal lobe epilepsy (complex
partial seizures). • Presented with feeling depressed, amenorrhoea, constipation, agita-
tion, loss of libido, initial insomnia and morbid thoughts concerned with the future accompanied by the thoughts that life is no longer worth living and that death would come as a welcome release.
