ABSTRACT
Epilepsy occurs at a much higher than normal frequency in people with intellectual disability; it is often more severe and more difficult to control than it is in other peo ple. Between 25% and 35% of people with intellectual disability also have epilepsy, compared to approximately 2% of the general population.
