ABSTRACT

For over a decade, I reviewed books three or four times a year for what is known affectionately as ‘the Green Journal’, Radcliffe’s publication of research, record and opinion in the world of primary care education. This chapter contains a few excerpts from these pieces. Some of the titles reviewed are by people whom I count as personal friends. This is not favouritism; I personally like the company of articulate mavericks, being one myself. And most authors are just that – articulate mavericks.
