Discard them intact. 0 If there is a need to resheathe a needle, make sure that needle guards are available. 0 Place sharps immediately after use in an approved sharps bin or receptacle; they are puncture-resistant and leak-proof. 0 Containers for sharps disposal must be located in the work area at the point of use. 0 Containers for sharps disposal must be closed (lid or cover closed and sealed with tape) and identihed for waste collection when they are no more than three quarters full. Never overhll or force items into these containers. 0 Report and record all injuries involving sharps.
