Here's a history lesson - It'll make you seem very wise! In Vienna in 1846, there was one Dr Ignaz Semmelweiss who worked in
the maternity wards. He was a sharp dude and noted that the mortality rate in the wards cared for by physicians and medical students were as much as three times greater than those wards where care was provided by midwives.
