ABSTRACT
Paint is a metaphorical rather than a literal language. The manner of application, influenced both by conscious and unconscious drivers, gives rise to dynamics that reflect the artist’s inner reality. These have the potential of connecting directly, without words, with the inner world of the observer. It may help for non-painters to imagine the body language of the artist as they apply the paint.
