ABSTRACT

As with Job Instruction Training (JIT), first we want to understand why we should be using Job Methods Training (JMT). This program teaches people how to vet, sell, and implement their ideas. The intent is to get more ideas (improvements) implemented by involving more employees. This creates an improvement culture, which can be almost self-sustaining. Teaching everyone these skills may very well be the single most important activity of any continual improvement program, and the one that most people do not act on.
