ABSTRACT
I was invited to teach a type design workshop at Denmark’s Designskolen Kolding and couldn’t resist the concept of including some of the students’ work and highlighting their design process. In addition to teaching a week-long course I also lectured, and my lecture included an overview of the origins of our modern alphabet. I wanted to see how this knowledge affected the student’s design process.
