ABSTRACT

The capabilities of the R Commander are substantially augmented by the many plug-in packages for it that are available on CRAN. I provided for plug-in packages relatively early in the development of the R Commander. Although the details need not concern us,1 R Commander plug-ins integrate with the R Commander menus, producing standard dialog boxes, accessing and possibly modifying the active data set, creating commands in the R Commander R Script and R Markdown tabs, and printing results in the R Commander Output pane. Plug-ins can also add new classes of statistical models, manipulable via the R Commander Models menu.2
