ABSTRACT
A detailed online submission process is almost always required before you can fi nally sit back and wait for a response from the journal. Submissions may fail even at this stage if authors neglect to provide the necessary information or if the submission is perceived to be sloppy. To avoid ‘falling at the fi rst hurdle’, it is mandatory to follow the submission instructions provided by the journal and also advisable to follow a checklist (see Appendix 2). Here are some tips to be used in conjunction with the checklist.
