ABSTRACT
Late January, so cold Central Park Lake is frozen over and the horse-drawn carriage rides are suspended. For Grandview Hospital winter means hypothermia, frostbite, and pneumonia. Winter means slips, trips and broken bones, asthma attacks, and more traffic accident victims. Our Emergency Department (ED) is doing a brisk business.
