ABSTRACT
A 27-year-old woman presents to her GP with a twomonth history of night sweats and a two-week history of a low-grade fever. She has previously been fit and well and is taking no medication other than the oral contraceptive pill. She has not noticed any other symptoms, such as a cough, dysuria or earache, which could explain her night sweats and pyrexia.
