ABSTRACT

T he title of this chapter is a reference to the highly-recommended book of thesame name written by Edwin A. Abbott in 1884 [1]. In it, the narrator, a square who lives in the two-dimensional world of Flatland, discovers and grapples with comprehending the three-dimensional world of Spaceland, while simultaneously recognizing the profound advantages he has over those living in the zero-and one-dimensional worlds of Pointland and Lineland.
