ABSTRACT
An 18-year-old girl is referred for investigation of a possible clotting factor deficiency. When she was 5, she had recurrent epistaxis and required cauterisation. At the time, she was found to have a Factor VII level of 8 U/dL and given a diagnosis of Factor VII deficiency. The epistaxis settled after the cauterisation and she had no further bleeding symptoms.
