ABSTRACT

Lung cancer is clearly established as one of the most important causes of morbidity and mortality, as well as the leading occupationally related cancer type (Ferlay et  al., 2013). Many of the occupational factors causally related to lung cancer are amongst the most prevalent workplace exposures worldwide. The primary objective of this chapter is to provide an overview of the occupational agents and exposures listed by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as known human lung carcinogens (IARC, 2012b).
