ABSTRACT

Individual risk factors Athletes can suffer injuries in the same way as non-active people can in everyday life. Sports injuries often affect individuals with good muscle strength, often during movements with high force and high kinetic energy. This means that athletes’ injuries are often more extensive and severe than the injuries that non-active individuals suffer. On the other hand, sports injuries often affect individuals who are healthy and young and have good healing abilities, which means that the injury can often be repaired so that the injured body part returns to normal function.
