ABSTRACT
Sub-optimal choices for which the drug choice mark will be reduced are:
• Salbutamol – 2 marks awarded out of 4 (as this will promote hypokalaemia but is not always first line).
• Intravenous fluid not containing potassium (e.g. 0.9% sodium chloride, glucose) – 1 mark awarded out of 4.
